Thinking about power steering for my '40 1 1/2 ton. I have the box from a Toyota 4x4 but not sure about the pump. The pump from Blundell looks like a slick application but I haven't heard many good things about Blundell. Anyone purchased a pump kit from them recently? Their web site still shows an Orange County contact number but I heard they had relocated to Washington State? I'd like some input before I give them a call. I'm also open to other suggestions on mounting a pump, anyone? Thanks, Tim
Mr Blundell is just outside of Portland Oregon, has been storing my intake manifold for over a year, but says he is going to ship back. Stay away, Stay far far away!
Thanks for the input. The p/s pump that he advertises seems like a nice set up. If he was still here in SoCal I might have chanced it. I do have a buddy in Oregon City but I don't really want to have to draft him to visit Mr. Blundell in order to get my money back if he fails to deliver (like it sounds like he will) Sounds like I'll have to go old school and fab a bracket from scratch. If anyone has any other suggestions send them my way.
There's another thread with people going off on Blundell's, then the story came out he was taking care of his dying father for 6months before he passed away. Hopefully things are better now? I'd really like to buy his banjo fittings to make a fuel rail for my 3 strombergs....
