Hello everybody, My friend, & I are working on a 53 Ford Customline 2dr sedan that belonged to his Grandmother when he was a child. She p***ed away many years ago, & the car had been sitting for many years when I first saw it, & became interested in it. Since then we have been working on it from time to time when life hasn't gotten in the way. Countless hours have been spent on the mechanical, when able to work on it, & it is tagged, insured, & was in operating condition, but life got in the way with a house remodel, & new roof, & the car has been on the back burner for a while, (hope to be back to work on car soon), since house is almost under control. I will post some pictures when I have time, & figure out how to do that. We got a 53 Customline Coupe for a parts car, & will have leftover parts from that one for sale for others who may need them for their cars when I have time to post up what is left. Thanks for such a great forum for lovers of the old cars, & good luck to all of you on your projects.
They don't seem to be that popular but I really like the 52-54 body style. I was going to say "welcome" but you've been here longer than me!
Thanks for the welcome guys,,,,, busy with this house, but will post pictures of the 53 Ford Customline project when I get some of them sorted out in some kind of order. Thanks again
Why not abide by the HAMB rules here and INTRODUCE YOURSELF...READ the "sticky" at the top of this page,,
I did introduce myself, & I have read the "sticky" at the top of the page, & have been polite so far, & wonder what has your nuts, & bolts all in an uproar.
Welcome from North Alabama.. Your location is USA so my question is what part?? If your location is some what close to me I would like to buy some 53 Ford parts.. Thank You.... Bobby..
You know I have always been a chevy guy but I got my 53 customline not to long ago and am falling in love with it and the flathead. Yours looks great
Thanks for the posts, I have been so busy with the new roof on house, that I just haven't had time, to be on the net very much. We just finished getting the swamp cooler back on the roof, & working again just in time for the hot days. Still have more to go on roof, (aluminum shingles are a challenge to install correctly), but they are looking good, & making the house a lot cooler. Looking forward to getting back to work on the 53 Customline Project when roof is finally done. Thanks for all the wonderful H.A.M.B. members keeping the old cars alive. Fay
