Well, after 10 years apart, I have almost got my long time friend back together. A bit more paint work, some new wires and some hoses and she should be back rollin soon. I have owned this truck since 79 and this will be its third reincarnation. Here's the only pic I have at the moment, sorry so small, more to come. Mitch.
Just a little bit about my truck. I got it for my Birthday in 79,it was the second car Ihad ever owned. I originally built it with a sbc, turbo 350, 68 nova rear on stock 36 springs and 36 front end with vega steering and 69 chevy van brakes. About 1991, I added a mustang front suspension and drove it as much as I could. After I built my 36 Ford sedan, the truck just hung out in the garage. 10 years ago I tore it apart, boxed the frame, reworked the front suspension and took out the sbc and slid an inline 6 in its place. She was originally sprayed with Porsche red lacquer with black fenders, now its brush painted satin hunter green with satin black fenders, Im falling in love all over again. I have had alot of history with this truck, first date with my wife, used it for my wedding, lotsof great memories.A little more work and shes back on the road, hopefully forever. MITCH
Need more info on the six,I like seeing them powered by a straight six instead of V8s. I have a 37 that I hope to keep powered by a six.
It just a 250 out of a 72 nova, nothing special, just a low mile runner. The sbc never looked right in that engine compartment. In time it will most likely get a bit of work to boost the power a bit. Mitch.
Mine has a 235 made to look like a 216 and hooked to a T-5,not too fast but moves it down the road just fine.
