Anybody have difficulties with this company?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 26Tudor, Mar 20, 2013.

  1. Back in February, I managed to toss a left angled, sscrew-on, three bar spinner off my Model T. The whole tower and everything went into orbit, and after a day of searching, I gave up the hunt, and went on the net, and found this place:

    www.spinnercenter.com

and made an order for the left angled three bar screw on spinner, and their #215 tower for my Tru-Spoke wheels, price plus shipping came out to $30.25, which I immediately paid for by Paypal.
Being the nervous sort, I placed a call to them the next day, and got "the phone is disconnected, and it ain't coming back on" spiel from the mechanical voice, so then I started e-mailing...and finally got an answer from a Jason Pyne, who said the company was in "transition" and while they showed me as a new customer, and had a record of the $30.25 Paypal transaction, they had no idea what I ordered. I immediately shot back an e-mail with the part number and description of the parts I had ordered, and even included a photo of the car (the photo is the one in my avatar) so he could see exactly what kind of spinner I needed... he said he would get on it that day....10 days later, I get a box in the mail, and while the #215 tower is right, the spinner itself has the bars sticking straight out, something that, in the last 2 e-mails, and the photo I sent, I specifically DID NOT ORDER or WANT.
Jason says "ooops. sorry. good help is hard to find, send back the wrong one, and I'll get the right one out right away" so the next day, I spent $6.50 of my own money sending back a $9.50 part to Meridian, MS, which someone there signed for 4 days later. Now, I have been waiting for 2 weeks for the correct spinner to show up, and today, I tried to file a dispute with paypal, and as soon as I type the paypal address in, something pops up that said something to the effect that "This seller cannot help you, you will have to change this from a dispute to a claim" so I did...
I am just wondering (1) if anyone in MS, specifically the Meridian area, have heard of these people, and (2) if there is anyone out in HAMB-land that knows of anyone that sells just ONE left (or right, I don't care at this point) angled 3 bar screw on spinner, of it anyone has an extra I could purchase from them.
Anyone else encounter these folks, or have any trouble with them?

    Thanks!!!~

  2. Still no word from them, but a fellow HAMBer turned me on to a place called Excalibur Wheel Accessories in Ontario, CA, that will sell me just one of the spinners.
    Thanks, Dave !!!!

  3. Well, after getting the wrong one again, angled the wrong way, my buddy Richard aka Movin/On here on the HAMB, has the correct one, lives right up the road from me, and is willing to do a straight across trade my wrong one for his correct one.
Thanks, Richard, and Viva La HAMB !!!!

    Continue the claim with PayPal.

  6. Yeah, never thought just finding a replacement 3 bar angled spinner to replace the one that went into orbit somewhere in the redwoods up here would be so damn difficult...little part, big trees, not a chance of finding it, and after a month of BS and Paypal claims, etc, there's one right up the road from me...All hail the power of the HAMB

  7. as soon as I try to file a "dispute" and mention the Paypal address I sent the $$ to, Paypal immediately says "dispute won't work, start a claim" or something like that, so that is what I am doing

  11. Sir, you're goofy enough, our local 'shrooms would only make a bad situation worse...
8=) ( I mean, how many FE intakes does one guy need??)

Richard, back a long long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, when I lived on North Bank Road (the shortcut from 101 to 199) I was somewhat well- known for my ham and Rumiano cheese and "special mushroom" Omelettes....:p

Thanks again, Richard, you da MAN!!!
