Aussie HAMBers the Picnic is just around the corner. A mate dropped by last weekend and reminded me of this fact. I've been busy all this winter working on my roadster and the poor old '52 is still muddy from last time I drove it. Time to finish a few of last years mods and some TLC in the way of some oil etc. I might even try to fix that vacuum leak that has been ****ting me for a couple of years. It seems to **** air right at the throttle position you want to be at for easy cruisin.

Give us a look at the projects you're thrashing on for the picnic this year. What have you still got to do and are you gonna make it?

Hey Pete, well I've at least cleaned the coupe since the afternoon at the 'squire of lowness' '. Even used it to take my dad out for lunch a few weeks back.
Was thinking about not going to the picnic this year. But as I have been dong a ton of striping here in the garage I have decided I will attend. Got so much new stuff to show you other striper types. Think I'll probably just come down in the F100, everyone has seen the coupe. Geoff aka whodaky

    Geoff,
Whats the deal with striping at the picnic. Do you just do it or do you have to tee it up with John first?

C'mon Ben, show us the paint. It's only a couple thousand of your closest friends on here!

    Pete.

Looks like tysond wants to have a "trike-off"

Pete, you just go for it. John sees it as part off the event. It adds to the atmosphere. I will probably have a table of stuff on display, if you want to do the same, your more than welcome to share some space. I have some interesting new stuff to show you. Carps and I had a bit of a striping jam on the Saturday evening, that's always fun, bouncing off ideas from each other.
I am really looking forward to it, where as a few weeks ago i wasn't fussed either way about attending this year! Geoff aka whodaky

Oh bad luck. So you'll have to drive that cool little A roadster instead of an EK Holden...That's tough.

1/4 inch wide eh. I'll see if I can dig out an old house painting brush. But seriously, I do have a biggish striping brush (the first one I bought). It'd would probably go OK but I don't generally go that wide. Also depends a bit on the quality of your paint work. I don't stripe on good quality paintwork. It just makes me look bad! Get Quaifey to do it. I would.

  25. Pete you sell yourself short there mate, everyone that has seen the shell & the heater you did have been mighty impressed. Did you notice the lack of badges on the EK, its a blank canvas for ya!!! Boots the same :D

I'm more than happy to have you stripe my car, not too mention you have already started some of it, its only fair when the time comes I let you finish it. :D Of course I'm sure some bribery for your to stripe can be offered up (in the form of liquid refreshment for all the hardwork)......

  26. **** ladies, you think you have no self dicipline the way you sook around, no no dont bring beer I will have to drink it and get no work done boo hoo :D

Everyone knows that a well fed worker is a happy and productive worker. So you handy men work like busy bees on the rides whilst I sate your hunger with tasty burgers, snags and the lightest of light beers.

  27. Quaifey did my Cruiser Bike and some other stuff I have...! Love his stuff....I just want the edges of the flames done (***uming I get them Done!) Cannot decide on other pins....as i like the smooth no badge and no stripes look! (weird ol' me)

    Will see!!!

    Cheers

Unlike Maiki I have chrome upon chrome, badge upon badge still on the EK- but am more than willing to offer external and internal surfaces for someone to lay some stripes upon:D:D If anyone's interested PM me, I'll be at John's with the car so roll up roll up....

  30. Oh and my 2 metre Cruiser bike is for sale at John's too..*WINK WINK*

    :)

    Will be in touch Striper!
