Eastwood - Am I Misunderstanding Their Ad?

I am looking for a bead roller. I got an email from Eastwood today that I considered plain and simple that if I ordered from them within the next 3 days I would get 10% off orders over $75.00. Going to their website I find Free Shipping on items over $50.00. I find their bead roller, item #28187, $152.99, down from $169.99, and call the order desk. The item is $152.99, current listed price, but with 10% off, I figured the item should be $137.70 with free shipping included on items over $50.00. WRONG! The item is still $152.99 and their will be no free shipping as the item weighs 59 pounds and is expensive to ship, about $30.00, besides the item has already been discounted 10% from the $169.99. I politely asked the order desk why the difference since neither ad lead me to believe their were exceptions to anything ordered. I was told that those ad's don't include all items and they left it at that. Fooled me! I didn't notice any restrictions of any kind in either the email nor their web site.

I did not place an order.

What's wrong with my thinking here?

The free shipping screenshot (the left hand one) says right on it that it excludes heavyweight items and 10% off of $169.99 is $152.99.

I bought a Eastwood bead roller off of e-bay. It was advertised as an Eastwood. Eastwoods price on their site was $159.99 on E-bay it was $129.99. Came in an Eastwood box and all. The price was less than Eastwoods, even after shipping.

There's you answer right there. It excludes heavyweight items and expedited orders. That bead roller must fall under the "heavyweight items" category.

just got an Eastwood bead roller off eBay last week. The price was $149.99 and free shipping....and that thing is heavy.

Near as I can tell, the main frame at 14mm (.551) is thicker than the very similar HF model that, IIRC was ~ 3/8 or 10mm. Might be wrong about that, been a while since I've been at HF.

The 6 sets of rollers look to be the same as HF....but some of them don't look exactly correct for the gap...might have to email Eastwood about that. The adjusting screw (M8 ?) is kinda light for what it does; but overall, the "machine" looks pretty good.

I've blown this thing apart and am going to beef it up + some other mods like others on here have done. Also, I'm going to use a HF 440# electric hoist motor/gearbox to power it.

Eastwood emailed and asked for an evaluation of the bead roller yesterday. So, from that I gather that it's Eastwood as the eBay seller, not a re-seller.

Yes the legal-nese was effective. Eastwood has used HEAVY advertising on all fronts for years. Esp. on cable TV show's. Using the hosts as salesmen. Trusting voice, familiar face. That was key to seem like they were top self. Their spot weld cutter was a use 10 times-pitch-it deal. No more E'wood, here. Save up, buy quality.
