Headliner help?

    Making a headliner for my truck have the fabric but what should I use for the rigid part?

    It's for a 65 c10 i was thinking like a thin fiberboard covered in the fabric?

    I have made the part around the back window. Sheetmetal for my 60, next is the sheetmetal panel over head and last the corners. No fibreboard to warp and sag

    You can just use foam back headliner glued direct to the metal. Or glue 1/2 '' foam to metal , cover with your material glued to the foam. Don't use spray can cotact cement. Jack

    These trucks never had fabric overhead ... but salvage an '80's GM headliner backer, it's made of thin styrofoam for the contours, take a wire toothbrush to scrub off the old stuff for prep
