wheeladapters.com, Fred something is the guys name. He's an old racer. You need 8" diameter to support the wheels nubs properly. One inch thick will work on early ford wires. Most adapter are thicker and most are only 7" in diameter. I thought I had an extra set but can't find them, will look a little more.

I have a set of N.O.S. (in the original boxes) 1" Eelco adapters (4-1/2" to 5-1/2") & they are 7" in diameter, rather than 5" or 6." If you get into trouble & need the extra diameter, let me know. I'm not trying to sell them, but I may be talked into it if you can't find any new stuff that will solve your problem.

  6. Fearless Fred Goeske sells them. Website is wheeladapter.com

thanks all. i could search ebay through hundreds of adapters, but it's straight and to the point here, and the post will probably help the next guy.

The diameters I mentioned early were wrong. So I edited my post. Most adapters are 7" but 8" is really what's needed to support Ford wires.
