54 Buick coils

Edith, our 1954 Special more-door wants to be a little lower, 2 + inches....she is currently stock.
From what I've read it sounds like I can achieve the lowering by buying shorter replacement springs from Jamco, Eaton Detroit, etc.
I read an old post here from 2005 written by Brad 54....he ordered 3" shorter springs all around for his 54 and at the time he was pleased.
Anyone out there have any advise??

79 el camino springs in the rear, cut the fronts.....but not too much a very little goes a long way.
