We used a camaro auto pad/metal and a late 90s chevy pickup arm, I just drilled a couple holes in the stock bracing and put in a big piece of all thread, then some spacers to hold the pedal where I wanted it at. Then I added to the factory bracing to make it even more solid.

Hey fleetsidejeff... Looks like Chad beat me to it. We were lucky enough to have another friend who had just finished one of these trucks. So we just patterned this one after his brake setup.

Sololobo, that is big tex. He caught fire at the state fair last year and burnt up. Fear not, they are rebuilding him so he will be back this year.

Well we made some good progress this past weekend. It's at least starting to look like a truck again!

Oh, nice. I've actually considered white mostly because you never see it.

I also like Porsche Grand Prix white. It looks totally straight white until you see it next to a true stark white. Then it looks RICH like whole milk.

Will the inside be white too, any contrasting color or upholstery?

WOW!!! What a transformation. The best part of this saga is the brotherhood between you two. Ain't nothin better than building hotrods with good friends and good beer. Your wife has got a sweet Apache.

We originally were shooting for austin, but the weather has just not cooperated well enough to shoot paint, and it was holding up a lot of progress. But we're getting there now. Thanks!

Great build and an excellent example of two good buddies working together to accomplish something that needs to be done.

Worked the bed over today... Rear lower panel was crunched so I got another piece cut/broke and replaced it. Also welded up the ol tweaked tailgate!!

No Kidding. The weather basically put us a month or so behind on this. It will be there next year. So, the wife tells me.
