Been into '58's since I was in school, and have always read about the utility sedans without the back seats used for sales and deliveries, but have never seen one myself.....who's got one?, photos of rear seating/cargo area?

You could pull the rear seat out of a tudor sedan Delray and make a platform and install a cardboard divider...pretty much what they were

  3. I dont think the rear windows were operational in utilitys ... at least not in the tri-fives ... not sure with the 58s.

Never heard of such a car in 1958, 55-57 yes, but ive never seen a 58. But i could be wrong, might be just a USA thing.

I "think" the utilitiy sedans/business coupes, were made through the 1960 year for Chevrolet cars, same as for the sedan deliveries (we're NOT counting the Vega). Stationary rear side windows, and the rear seat area "platform", were what defined them, and the fact they were always base-line models. Butch/56sedandelivery.

that's cool. always like the "low buck" versions of cars. 58 utility sedan has got to be more rare than just about any other 58 model these days

I've seen one, a stripped 1956 2 door sedan. In place of the rear seat was a platform that appeared to be made of plywood covered with ribbed rubber like a stair runner or floor mat. The ribs ran length ways. Where the seat back would go was covered the same way. I was told it was originally bought by a small town grocer for making deliveries.
