Found an old Simplex jack

    I found this jack at a consignment shop. 15 ton Simplex. Is this automotive related? Sorry about the sideways pic.

  2. I think it's a house jack!!! My old man is a contractor that specializes in retro fitting!!! He has some house jacks that look like this!!! Would also explain the high ton rate!!

    Yeah,looks like a house jack but might work on some big trucks. HRP

    I use them to install some of the compressors we sell. They sometimes weigh 12k. Best jack out there if you ask me. looking at it again it is slightly different than what I use or the toe is missing maybe?

    Railroad jack, still available today ,handy to have if you need it otherwise a cool doorstop.
