ok heres what will probbably be a dumb question the interrior in my t bird is red leather/vynil and some of the pieces are VERY sunfaded/dirty they look more like muddy water then brite red my question is does anyone make a product that will "restore" color to vynil/leather? yes i know i can re dye them which is an option but on the budget im on (practically non-existant) cleaning the parts is a more viable option at this time so i guess what i want to know what is the BEST cleaner youve used i usually get great results out of tuff stuff butjujst curious if there is something better
Years ago I used a product called Marhide (Marhyde, sp?) and was very happy with the results. Try Pep Boys. Charlie Stephens
I use surf city garage product called dash away followed by there leather rejuvenator product. Both you can get from pep boys. There products are prime quality and I use them on my ride and I am a fussy little prick
you can jack around with every bottle of magic liquid, and will still be 50 year old tired interior parts. or you can call larrys tbird or somebody close to that and order new reproduction pieces. i started with carpet in my 66 bird, that led to recovering my front seats. and new floor mats. yes it wasnt cheap, but the car looks 500% better on the inside.
Mar-hyde use to make a vinyl spray,,not sure if the do now but Dupli-Color makes one. Back in the 60's it was common to use Mar-hyde to renew faded vinyl. HRP
yes id very much like to do that but as i said in my opening post my NON EXISTING BUDGET WONT ALLOW even piece mealing it
Any body shop supply can mix you up vinyl paint that will work. They might even have the correct color code for your car's interior. It actually works pretty well. It sprays on like paint, but actually sinks into the vinyl.
