:) Chevy truck bed, from what? Cab is Chevy truck and Van ? What model and years.? I liked it at first glance, thinking it was just a H A M B COE , but it's more(or less).;) The door hinges are also a mystery to me. The doors look fragile. Over all it a nice looking truck. :cool:Do you agree? :D

That's really weird looking....but.......somehow, it's rather cool at the same time.
Someone put a hell of a lot of work into that, whether it's real or photoshop.

I think it was a factory thing, 61-63, the bed looks newly fabbed but i think i remember seeing an older pic of something similar when searching out oddball truck stuff...that one looks to be photochoped like others have said, but now im searching the computer to see if i can find that pic.....

  7. I'd drive it, it looks pretty cool to me.

  8. I am pretty sure that you could buy a commercial truck along the lines of that truck. One thing that we should remember is that there were a lot of comercial vehicles built that we just don't know much about or ever see.

It's definitely different but it just doesn't look right too me. The proportions between the cab and the '57 fenders leave something to be desired. Must be pedal powered 'cause I dont see anyplace for an engine unless there's flat Corvair nestled down low in the bed!

photochop or a custom build. factory COE's of that era do not look like that.

I remember the first time that pic was posted on the Stovebolt forum some years ago. I wish I could remember who posted it. I thought it was cool. I downloaded it to my photobucket album. I'm convinced it is photoshopped.

  16. I gonna say Photoshop,,Kinda puts the U in ugly! HRP

  17. Photoshopped - look at the repeating pattern of the flowers on the trees behind it. Still neat.

Definitely photoshop. It might be possible to build one but it would be a joke that only a midget could drive. Imagine how big the wheel wells would have to be inside the cab, don't forget the wheels need to steer and leave room for the suspension as well. You would have enough room between the wheels for an engine but where do the driver's and passenger's legs go?

Photoshop or not somebody has vision. Shortern the Bed to the rear Fender and It would be more propertionate. But overall I think it's got promise.

The Chevy show truck and the photoshop truck share nothing. Totally different. The photoshop one looks like 65 truck doors and cab, Covair Greenbrier nose and 55-59 bed and fenders.

The long bed suggests there might be room behind the cab for engine and transmission, if you don't mind a few feet less loadspace. I like this thing, it reminds me of an old magazine project car, a Dodge A100 pickup that had a big block Chevy behind the cab.

Here is another type of Cabover (L60) that GM produced in the early 60's. If the engine were relocated to the back as someone mentioned earlier, then the front end of one of these trucks could be modified to work like the OP image.
