Last time I saw,Ardun heads were well over $10,000 a pair.

    That is not a typo.

And you need a bunch of extra stuff, and machine work,to put it all together.
    If a $30,000 motor,with a shakey bottom end design,isn't a problem,Go For It.

Uncle Bluto is right... ARDUN motors aint realy about the speed to money ratio... its the cubic dollars squared to positive cool factor here

i mean, C'mon!! who's gonna gather the biggest drool puddle around thier car at a show... a fast as hell SBC, or a flatty with ARDUN heads? hell even the new castings have an aura around them, kinda like the Madona you remember from the stained gl*** windows in church when you was a kid :p

Art Chrisman would be a good choice. He's in Orange County.

Jack Choate in Yuma, AZ. is a great flathead builder and he can tell you about the heads. He does not know where you can get use ones at this time. His Nr. is 928-783-8600. P.S. He is 73 years old , he built his first flathead in 1948 and had all the tools and machines he needs to do it right. .

    Have to admire your tastes!
HP to $$$ ratio is not very good.
BUT - as someone says, "$$$ to DROOL factor is right up there!!"

If you're looking for someone to build the motor, the person to contact is Cotton Werksman. He's the best there is. In fact, he did the motor in the Pearson Bros. car when Bruce Meyer restored it.

Yeah I had a run in with a set of OG Arduns trying to bite the back of my calves while visiting with Baytown Greaser a few months ago. It was like being at a party and hearing Marilyn Monroe is there. Then calling ******** only to turn around and have her looking you square in the eyes.

I've heard of the old #'d ones going from $20-30K in the last few years. Depends on if they are cast with Ardun, blank, or Made in England.

some ardun heads sold at the good guys swap meet two years ago (or 3 years) and they went for 16,000 real quick. They had ardun stamped right across the front!
I cant imagine what they are worth since the rod price hike!

If your gonna go with the Arduns, you might as well top it with one of those $15,000 SCoT blowers. :D
