Man it´s far from finished but sure look better now that the body and frame is in primer. Next week I will paint ch***is and underside of body black and bolt them together. It´s turning point of this project first time i´m getting somethink back together for the final time.

That looks great! There is a ton of work in those rear quarters, did you post photos of that, if so I missed it.

holey **** that is bad ***!

i was looking through your photobucket pics, and a question arose. i see when you cut the top, you just dropped it down without widening the top. how drastically did the angle of the posts change from stock?

i been wanting to chop a 49-52 fleet, but havent done one yet, and was curious. you photobucket page is pretty informative, but maybe a little explanation with each pic? for those of us who really appreciate whats going on step by step.

    and the 348/409 .......just sick....i think i wet myself.:D

Angle of the post didn´t change alot. Don´t know excactly but I would say the center post angle changed about 3-5 degrees. Windowchannel went about 1" outwards at the bottom of front door.
Gap between body and back post was about 1/2 inch when roof was dropped down.

Man, that's cool. that car's got some great proportions with the chop and the re-working of the area between the rear quarters and the decklid. I really dig the bumpers you chose as well. Definitely keep us updated on your progress!

That looks bad***! I would love to chop my fleetline but I need to improve my metalworking skills a little first. How did you get the tops of the quarters so smooth and clean with all those little patches? Also what are the bumpers you used?

Thanks for your kind worlds guys glad you like! I will post an update when there is something new to see.

Outside of quarters are original, inside is made from 1/4 pipe w/ lots of small cuts. That way it bends quite nicely to follow top of quarterpanel.
Here´s pic of quarter before final welding and grinning
