HELLO ! i have 52 f1 ford truck that is a sweet street rod project truck i am building it is an awsome barn find truck that another guy started to street rod and lost interest in !
My issue is that i bought the truck with an origional registation from the person that purchased the truck in 52 but in the midst of the street rod project they lost the vin plate from the gloove box and firewall and they have boxed and smoothed the frame rails i have since stripped them looking for the vin #s stamped in but havent found anything does anyone at all know what i can do to get this plate replaced or to get a reissued vin i live in pennsylvania which from what ive heard is a very difficult stated to get things like this done so if anyone could help i would greatly sppreciate it .
This truck is going to be beaautiful whe its finished but hate to throw tons at it if i cant get it legal. so once again please help
    Thanks Ken

Welcome from San Jose Ca. As far as your issue I would start off with the dreaded call to the DMV and inquire with them and they should be able to give you the step by step on getting the vin issue taken care of. Like you said wouldn't wanna dump a bunch of $$$ in something you can't get legal. "Street Rod"?? Lets see some pics
