So it's just a leather roof? I guess I'll never know what mine was then. Just got a 31 vicky but the roof was cut out by previous owner. I was just curious b/c everyone keeps asking me. Thanks!! Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
The Model A Vicky bodies were all built by Murray Body Co. for Ford. They were delivered to Ford and installed on the ch***is alongside the body styles manufactured by Ford. The Vic bodies came in two styles. The steel back had a top insert much like a coupe or sedan. The leatherback has unfinished steel and a wood and wire framework to support the fabric top. My avatar is a leatherback. Hope this helps answer the question in the op. Phil
This is a 1929 Model A STEELBACK Fordor sedan model 60C, compair it to the LEATHERBACK in post #6. The Vicky had a steel back and leather back as well. Bob
