that's not a dumb question,i wouldn't mind hearing the answer myself.a dumb question would be "would i be able to sell an ARDUN equipped flathead for $100?"
Yep, but for the bonus, can you tell us the magazine cover that Ryan copped it off of? ***le and date please...
Don't have time to go through my stack of old mags, but if I remember correctly it was HOT ROD. Would probably have been 61 or 62
I am guessing on the date Hot Rod Mar 1962. I think the article was how to swap a 221 ford V8 into the old six cyl falcon. What do I win? TDC
Yeah, I'd have to go with a Falcon as well. I have a chevy II, and that ain't it! All the stupid people around here think my car's a falcon (it still has all the emblems on it!)
Go to Muskegon, you could be driving a Futura convertible with big blue ovals painted on the doors and you'd still hear "Yeah man, I had a Nova just like that in high school..."
My guess, Falcon or Comet. The real question should be, who dressed those guys? and do you think they ever had grease under their nails?
Here's a 61 Falcon, same color, same grille... Not my idea of a hotrod but I'm sure it looked good when Ryan made up the logo...
Not my idea of a hotrod but I'm sure it looked good when Ryan made up the logo... [/ QUOTE ] Well, it is nice to see that Hot Rod's decision to NOT use Hot Rods in their magazines dates back to the 60's.
Kooky, Kooky, lend me your comb... I've got the same issue. Looks like she hasn't aged a bit in all these years.
