Im trying to get my 56 F-100 running and its fighting me tooth and nail. After some time, I got the Duraspark II wired in and get spark, but no fuel. This weekend I changed out the pump on the 351w. After testing, the old pump worked fine and so does the new one, but once hooked up, its still not pulling gas. I hooked up my Mity Vac on the hard lines and got nothing. I disconnected the pump and used the compressor to to put pressure from the filler, hoping that fuel would be blown through the lines, but nope. Im thinking, something may be clogged, but not sure where to start looking. Any ideas?

The radiator is going to the shop tonight to get cleaned and repaired. Im hoping to drive it to the drags, but she might not make it.

Definitely sounds like a plumbing problem.
I would just change the fuel lines altogether with new ones.
Applying pressure to the filler with nothing coming out pretty well tells the story. Otherwise i would have thought it was a lobe wear problem if its a mechanical pump.

Hi. I think you need to remove the fuel line from the tank. Just be careful ya don't have gas going all over the place. Try blowing air thru the line from the fuel pump end. If something got lodged in the line from the tank you may blow it back out. If the line is ok the problem almost has to be in the tank.

Had the same type problem recently. Turned out to be a hole in the rubber portion of the fuel line before the fuel pump. Replumbed it in steel and got rid of the no gas situation.

    Good luck.

Did some more looking last night. Its a hole in a flex line between the cab and hardline. Also, there is some rust in the tank, so I think I will have it cleaned and sealed for good measure.
