Gonna do it. If you guys would have any usefull tips on positioning this engine i would appreciate it. Trying not to cut the firewall if i can help it. Biggest concern is drivers side exhaust manifold possibly whacking the steering box. What would my exhaust manifold options be? Ideas on engine and trans mounts needed also. I know it can be done, so dont be bashfull, lets geter done. Need you Hot Rod boys to put some skill together here and help out this Good ole boy. I got the tools, just lackin in how ta. Stan

  2. Good luck gettin that big pig in there. that is a small compartment to be trying to put that in and you are going to be hard pressed to get enough radiator in there to keep it cool.. i do not think you will find a manifold to fit by the steering so plan on making some sort of headers.

a few things remember the motor sets an inch to the drivers side. as the manifolds tuck like an olds i think if you keep the motor high in the bay you will be ok. the area i see as an issue will be the trans tunnel rework the bell houseing area and it should fit. the side well on the p*** sde is a two peace well and can be cut down i did on mine. the drivers side should be ok. you may want to set the steering box into the frame more for room in that area, use a Borgason at the box and firewall. post shots want to see this one. bob
