Average cost, parts + machining, to rebuild a flathead?

    So you are basiclly saying that "flatheads" are just flathead dressed up SBCs......That would make a lot of sense. Doesn't everyone runs SBCs in their Fords.

    I'll have 500 or 600 total in mine when i'm done 2 carbs and milled heads my dad bought one that runs good with a WCFB 4bbl for 400 both model 59 239c.i.

    I lucked out and my '47 had a rebuilt, stock 59AB sitting in it when I bought the car.

    Hahaha! I didn't see that. I wonder if prices have changed lately?... I know a guy with a good buildable block, I'm debating whether I should grab it or not.
