Can these "ears" be cut off trans??

Is it safe to cut these "ears" off a TH350 case?? thanks-

 

Yes...I believe thos supported the casting on milling machine during manufacture.

 

That's a handy place to pick them up and move them around the factory with.

 

Yes Know Problem, I Had To Cut The Left One Off As It Hit The Shift Rod On My 40 Convert.

 

ive done it plenty of times

 

I had to cut all four off a AOD for tunnel clearance.

 

I just cut the right side off to clear a flexplate shield.

 

No problem with the ears trimmed back.
