I am working on a 60 Starliner, got the lock cylinder and switch out,now I can't get the lock cylinder back in. It goes back in the hole but won't stay in or engage the switch. I am using the same switch and cylinder.
Does anyone know what position the switch has to be in? What am I missing?
    Thanks in advance.

Seems to me the switch has to be in the ACC. position and depress the little push ****on thing on the lock cyl. and stab it home. with the key in it.

yep, normally accesory position, stab it home, turn the cylinder back one notch to the off position to remove the key.
