I think that this was the former JADO coupe that ran a rear-engine blown flathead at Bonneville (JADO stood for Jim Kamboor and, I think, Don Alderson, later of Milodon??) A father-and-son (Stebbens?) bought the car, put in a blown Pontiac and went drag racing...no clue as to what it turned or what became of it -- would be neat to find it and restore it back to JADO-era

Harold Casaurang's coupe, ran both Bonneville and drags, Harold lost control of it in the lights at Vacaville in 1956 and died in the ensuing crash...reportedly the track was pretty rough at the top end (info from "Drag Racing Deaths")

I know a guy that’s building one with a front mount blown early Chrysler …. Its body has the same chop and a very similar color old paint on it.

I have had the car since I was 13 years old in 1965. I am now 60. Drove it in high school in Michigan and all over the southern Michigan area.

My first 32 Ford! Bought it in 1974 for $1800. It had a Studebaker V-8 adapted to a 39 Ford trans, 40 Ford rear, white tuck-n-roll interior, rolled rear pan, dropped axle with spindle mounts and no front brakes!

That's what it is? Thanks! I suspected it was a Chevy when I first saw it, but I realized soon after that it wasn't.. Here's another shot I just found in my stash.
