I am starting to tear in to my 1956 buick special station wagon.I got the brakes working but the booster need rebuilding.Who or where is the best place t have it done? Thanks Bruce.
Contact Rick Eskew phone 404-659-8722 or 800-462-0062 (Atlanta, GA) If he can not help you he will tell you what are your options. He has been in the brake business for 35+ years.
Guys i tried every one you remendered but no one rebuilds 1956 buick boosters.Deweys only went back to 1959.Rock auto say they have it but when i called they they dont make it for 1956.Finally Deweys call me with a fellow in florida that does the older ones a real nice guy and a good price.1956 buicks was a 1 year thing with the master cyl. and booster then they changed.Just wanted to let you know.Thanks.Bruce.
Try Prior Brake Products. 1-800-444-4821 I worked for one of their distributors years ago. Didn't have much trouble with the boosters. Master cylinders... well.... I'm a big fan of using new hydraulic brake products whenever possible. They also supplied a working booster to replace a non-working reman from a chain auto parts store on my brother's '70 Dodge.
Well hoping to get the brake booster back late next week if its not rebuildable i will see about updating to something more mordern.I would like to keep her orignal as possable. Thanks Bruce.
