The top one would look cool on a briggs and stratton. The bottom one, well I'm not sure what it is but it looks huge. I would say just get a 6-71 or 8-71 and throw it on any motor that you want to make look cool.
That bottom one looks like an old large Italmeccanica supercharger, if it is you have the coolest blower and possibly the most expensive blower ever built! Or just mount it down like a 29' Blower Bentley and enjoy! Doc.
"Blower"or "BLOWER"? Hmm?? Using the tested, well-proven and extremely precise scientific formula of "If some is good and more is better, then too much should be just enough!", I say go with "BLOWER" and nix on that wimpy, teeny-weeny, baby girly-man-sized 'blower' on top! What the hell is that big one anyway? Some sort of industrial blower or air or vacuum pump" I've seen Roots blowers similar to that used on grain and dry bulk cargo tanker trucks to off-load bulk cargos into silos. If that's what it is, I'd be concerned about the bearings and gears being able withstand the higher rpms and rapidly varying speeds in a high-performance automotive 'supercharger' application. Also, most of these industrial blower, air or vacuum pumps are set up for high volume - ie - lots of CFM of air flow, rather than a lot of pressure and tend to become very inefficient at higher boost levels. You would be correct it is actually a vacuum pump off of a grain reclaim truck. Its a Denver-Gardner industrial unit. It has run a maximum of 1600 rpm it's entire life and weighs as much as a dressed sbc.
