I looked at a Ford F100 and the VIN tag was on the glove box door and attached with screws. Is this correct? The truck has been "clipped". Are there any stampings located on the frame, other than those that were on the front? Thanks
Thanks Okiedokie. Always had Chevys and could not believe that the screws were legit. How about a VIN stamp on the frame or body other than the front frame? The front frame is gone due to the addition of the front clip.
Some Ford trucks had a VIN stamped on the driver side frame rail, just ahead of firewall, And, on the "p*** side" frame rail, above the rear axel "kickup". Ditto, the glove box plate is correct, screws and all. 4TTRUK
I don't believe there are any numbers on the frame. Pretty sure that door jam [where it is on my 53] and glove box door is it.
