i am starting to do some work on my ride. i am trying to see if anyone here knows of a good place to get floor pans and body panels for a good price and also be good quality. anyone have any ideas. the car i am going to be working on is a 51 Chevy coup.
here,s some more https://rockauto.com/catalog/x,carcode,1487276,parttype,12481 and http://www.ecklersearlychevy.com/exterior-parts-and-accessories/body-parts/floor-pans.html
Another to try is "c2cfabricators.com in Detroit. They do have a website and the work for me has been precision correct and top quality. Normbc9
Check out the car shop. Here's the link below http://www.truckandcarshop.com/4157.html great place and tons of parts for Chevy cars and trucks. Chevs of the 40s ****. I bought a spotlight from them once and it was even the right one as shown in their catalog. It was a new style one and then customer service tried to say it was the same one as shown in their catalog. I had to pay to send it back so I lost money. I ended up buying the spot and fog lights from Kanters and was very happy. I wouldn't recommend Chevs of the 40s to anyone. There are plenty of other places to buy parts from. Sorry about the complaining, it's just that Chevs of the 40s really makes my blood boil.
working on a 51 Chevrolet right now that someone else installed some ill fitting panels on. one I will be removing and making a new one from flat sheet, either that or I will be installing another garbage panel so both rear inner rockers look the same. total garbage. another I will hopefully be able to find that same part on a car and cut it off to fix the repair panel that is only a close guess as to what the car is supposed to look like. this is a lower front quarter panel patch. ****ing junk. show pictures of what you need to patch. most of what is out there for these cars is not worth the money people spend on it.
hey guys thanks for all the responses i will look into all of your suggestions and tell you what i go with.
