I am not entirely sure about forum rules on this, as it could be borderline advertising, though for charity... Anyways, my sister just so happens to be a graphic designer, and has run into a job which she is doing basically for free for a charity event by "Royal Family Kids Temecula," and we would greatly appreciate it if a few of you guys would submit some high resolution images of your ride so that she could use it and design some awards plaques which will be given out to best in show, team choice... etc... during the event. She is looking for classic hot rods, motorcycles, any good quality high resolution images that she could use freely, but not to sell. You can post the image below, or PM me, whichever is easier, she just does not want to use something from google images as to resist copy-write issues and all that. It seems those who are running the show are most interested in the 50's year hot rods. Btw, after she is finished and has decided who's ride she is going to use, I will have her post the finished photoshopped image Some info on the event: Saturday, April 13, 2013 9AM - 1PM 26090 Ynez Road Temecula, CA 92591 100% of proceeds goes to: Royal Family Kids Temecula (Benefiting Foster Children) Frank Fletcher (THIS IS NOT ME) 909-260-0682 rfktemecula@gmail.com *Ill keep you all up to date, Admins, let me know if this is within the rules.
After having those running the show arrive in person, they have agreed on some of her artwork, there were 0 images submitted from the HAMB members, but ill post some of her work here anyways once she is finished. This page got quite a few views, but no submits, so thanks for any and all interest.
These two were created first and were rejected. So, what do you all think? look good? My sisters portfolio: www.mparnelldesigns.wordpress.com
They look OK to me, although they look a little generic in nature. My opinion ? Just use what she has designed, print the generic artwork out and paste it onto a poster board backing. At the show use them as a representation of what the winners plaque will look like. When the winners have been chosen, take pictures of their ride and have the plaques made and delivered to them. They will be much more meaningful that a plaque with some other car or truck on them. Not sure what you expected, I'm not surprised no one jumped to send in pics.
Thanks for making a reply, Custom plaques would be excellent! but, that's not what those who are running the show want to do. Basically, the few people who were going to setup the show just dropped by and said they needed something to put on plaques to hand out to contest winners. We are still in the dark in terms of EXACTLY what they like, as they have just rejected the "Best truck," and "best show" (car) at this moment. It seems that they are interested in more of a traditional hot-rod look, a Chevy, with lots of chrome, semi-customized. If anyone still wants to submit an image, feel free, and ask questions, as it sounds like this project has been given one more day. little more info of what I think they want with what they have rejected so far: The hotrod should reflect: hotrod tradition, Chevy 50-60's, clean. -Basically, what first comes to your mind when you think "hot rod," if you think that's what you got, give us a photo, and we will see if they like it.
Oh wow, I don't think I have seen something quite like that before! She said that if these guys don't approve of what she is working on at the moment, she may try yours to give them a larger selection of choices. Yours is quite wild indeed. Yeah, I think I will.
