Anyone ever dealt with Bradley floor pans out of Charlotte? I've had pans ordered for seems like going on a year now. My goofy *** tried to help out and went ahead and paid for 'em. Now when I call and ask about 'em, I get "they should be done next week". If I got them the first time he said next week I would'a had 'em months ago. They do real nice stuff there but, I've about had enough.
I've had the same experience with them years ago but if it's any consolation you will get your parts and they will be nice.
I may be able to help move this along. What were they for? Thirty-something Ford? Let me know. ******Knuckles
Funny about 10-12 years ago I wrote CAD programs to cut the blanks for their floor plans out on a laser. They used to pick up 100 blanks at a time - 50 for left and 50 for right.
I don't know what your building, but I do some welding and metal finishing work for Paul bradly on his 35-36 ford pans. I know that he has one heck of a waiting list. I just finished up 20 sets for him, all of which were sold. He is going to be bringing me another 50 sets in the next few weeks, and they are already spoken for as well. If you can wait just a little bit longer, I promis that you will not be disappointed. His work is beautiful and all of his pans are 100% made by hand (aside from the laser cut blanks). There is no one building floor pans with the same quality and attention to detail as Paul... Especially for the price! If you want me to look into what's going on with your order, id more than gladly do that. Jeremy
They were for a 35 Slantback sedan. For Igor Acord in Va. Beach, Va. Paul definitely seems like a super nice person but ya cant help worrying if yer getting taken advantage of after waiting this long and being told time after time that they're almost done. I've heard nothing but the best things about the quality of his pans. Just was getting extremely frustrated. If ya have some info on when they may be done, I'd love to know from a fellow HAMB'er. Thanks!
Hello. Im really keen on a set of his 50 Ford floors. They look hands down awesome. I emailed him and he was really quick to reply and happy to ship them. I just struggled to get a delivery date which is important as I need to book space in a container to NZ. I still want the floors but will have to wait and organise someone to pick them up when they can get a delivery date. Funny enough the pics of floors in the Dennis Carpenter Catalogue looked exactly like Bradleys. They were unable to supply. Andy.
he made a set for my 40 and they took a little while but htey were great at that time he was doing it part time as I understand
I waited awhile past the supposed ship date for my floor panels. I had some personnal conversations with Paul by phone and email. We came to an agreement and the parts were eventually shipped ( 2 months late). The parts were shiped in a secure wood and cardboard container and arrived undamaged. The parts (40 Ford floor pans ) are of excellent quality.
How long ago did you order them and how long did it take? I've been waiting about 5-6 weeks so far. For 2 partial front and the trunk pans for my 40 coupe. I asked when I ordered if they were in stock now and was told they were but he was waiting for some cardboard needed to ship them. I know they are great quality but I wish he would have been a little more up front about the wait time. He does seem like a pretty nice guy on the phone for what thats worth.
I stock the 49-50 Ford and the 51 Ford pans in limited numbers and I have a hard time getting them. The wait is worth it. The best you can buy. the Carpenter pans are Bradly parts. Fritz
I met him this weekend....stand-up guy! And jeremyjames knows him well! So, if you need Ford pans, Paul's your guy! Yes, I know this is an old thread. Just adding a vote FOR Paul!
I've had mine a couple of years, had to wait a while, but if I had to do it again I'd wait a year if I had to, They're that good! Paul and I became friendly, with all my calls bugging him, and he is a great guy, I've put in factory floor pans that didn't fit nearly as good, plus they look perfect.
Lets see... I oredered them in mid December 2012. I think they arrived in March. I oredred both sides (full length) of the floor pans. Paul said he had one side in stock and was in the process of stamping the other side. I asked him to wait and ship them together. I gave him my credit card number at that time( he did not ask for it) with the agreement that he would not bill me until they were shipped. Well I got my credit card bill in January and noticed I had been billd for the parts. That is when I Emailed and Paul and started our conversations. I told him I was going to go another way and to credit my card. At that time I think it was towards the end of Feb. , he was almost ready to ship . Paul promised the parts within two weeks. I think it took 3. I don't think Paul intends to keep you waiting, It's like with a lot of craftsman, time slips by while they are concentrating on that perfect product. If you have the time to wait for the parts I would do it. Or try getting them from Carpenter if they have them in stock if you don't. Bottom line is he a nice guy with a great product made in the USA.
Paul just did call me back tonight. I tried to get a more definitive answer but about all he would say was "pretty soon" he said he shipped out 33 orders last week and that he was behind this week. He thanked me for being patient with him. I just hope they get here soon.
Five years ago this past autofair in charlotte n.c. i had arranged with paul to pick up a complete set of 49 woody pans. when i got to his booth the usual greeting and offered a pack of crackers and a soda and oh by the way i sold the right side pan to a guy that needed it really bad, i'll make it and ship it to your right after hersey, i wasn't happy about it as the pans were for a customers car but what could i do but say ok, As of this day and after leaving many messages and talking to the lady that answered the phone on occasion, i have yet to recieve the pan.or talk to paul bradley, I had to eat what i paid bradley and talk my customer into some direct sheet metal pans. All i can say is it was a lot better doing business with his dad. You guys are lucky.
