Hi guys, I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I'm Mike from Meriden, CT. I have actually been working my way BACKWARDS...I started with a VW Jetta (I know...the shame , had a '79 Z28, several 5.0 Mustangs, trucks, SUV's, etc... My most recent toy was a '66 Oldsmobile Delta 88 convertible that came in at about 19' long...a boat but a great cruiser. Anyway, I sold the '66 and was looking for something else to start on. My initial plan was to get an A or a T with a pickup bed and build that kind of rat rod-however, my other love is the early 50's Chevy cars. I ran across a '52 Chevy 2-door that seemed like a fair deal, and through all the emails, etc...I have bought the car. It's a couple of states away and I'll be picking it up at the beginning of the next week. At any rate, I'm currently the General Manager of 3 different car dealerships...2 new car stores and a used car store. In my past I have been a sales manager, used car manager, parts store manager, and service manager. At one time, I was the Director of Sales and Marketing at Mustangs Unlimited. So, I guess it's fair to call me a "car guy". I can't say that I am solely commited to only one kind of car. At 34, I truly pretty much like everything. A look in my garage will soon show the '52, my '05 Dodge Ram with the 20's and a HEMI, my wife's 05 3.5SE Altima, and my other toy an '04 Wrangler with a lift. All (okay most) cars hold some intrigue for me in one way or another...and given the right opportunity I think you would find me interested in owning most of them. I'm really pleased to get the '52...my plan is sort of the 'rat' style with satin black paint, pinstripes, a chopped top and probably air bags all around with steel wheels and wide whites. We'll see where it goes...who knows? All I know is that I love the hobby and the people I've met doing everything from drag racing to 4-wheeling at Paragon Off-road park in PA, and in between. I look forward to talking to you guys in the future...and I hope to get to meet you as the spring show and cruise season rolls out!!!! Take care all.
Welcome Mike. One of my graphic design clients owns an auto group here in Columbus...but every time he gets another sweet car, he cans a manager I wish I were kiddin' lol!!! Be glad ya don't work for him... Tons to see here...enjoy. Olson
Hey, such is the car business. Good thing I love it as much as I do. The funny thing: how few people in the business of selling cars that actually LOVE cars. Strange. Thank you for the welcome!
