ENOUGH already ferchrissakes!!! Not a single person here cares to read your take any more. You've worn out the welcome mat. Mention Rambler just one more time and I won't be the only member that will stick you on permanent ignore.

Here is one that's been sitting in the same spot for 13 years. 1959 Rambler. I bought it last November, but I have to wait for the yard to dry out. I tried to get it last fall but it was tearing up the yard and the lady that lived there was just about in tears about it. I felt bad.

In Oregon, waiting for a yard to dry out means "Come back in the summer."

Wow thats a great looking ride right there..Best of luck I just love Ramblers .If I could I would save every one in Alaska and park them on my land so the great grand kids have some cars to tinker with .I'm pretty sure they will love them too.;)

    Thanks man!

Ramblers are so simple. After wrenching on T-birds, and Galaxies, and other stuff with crazy vacuum lines, and other complicated stuff, its always nice to just wrench on a rambler. It's basic as it gets. Plus they run forever. My great great grandparents had a '59 Rambler that served them for 17 years. Then my parents for 5 years. And then my Uncle for 3 years of High School. It's sitting in a pasture waiting for me to come get it one of these years. But for now, I'll tinker with this Rambler and pass it on to someone who will enjoy it.

Did You get a photo of, or a look at that ´59 Chevy passenger car behind the truck? Looks fairly "complete" to me, what bodystyle was it?

  16. I'm pretty sure that is a 1957 Nash Ambassador.

  17. Those stacked headlights have me stumped. Didn't the '57s have singles? It looks like a lot of late Hudson influence in this design. After doing a tiny bit of research it appears the '58 & '59 Ambassadors had horizontally mounted dual headlamps. UPDATE - I think I found that it's a '57 Hudson Hollywood - ??? Never heard of it but found a similar pic via google. That's gotta be a low production model near or at the end of Hudson's life as a manufacturer.

  18. The last full-size Nash Ambassador was in 1957. After that, the Nash name was phased out & all models came under the AMC umbrella name. The 1958 AMC Ambassador was based on the Rambler line, as was everything else.

At least, I THINK that's right.
