As many of you know, PV Performance has moved to a new location in Malden and will Do Business As: Mike's Performance. Mike Goffredo is still running the place and is located in a very cool looking vintage building from the 1960's that has plenty of parking and t****zoid shaped windows that let a lot of light into the showroom. Mike just finished the build out which includes new paint, flooring and also some pretty cool artwork done by Gil Langmead, long time car enthusiast and friend of Mike's and of PV Speed. Gil also did much of the build out, countertops etc as he is a carpenter by trade. There is a real good mix of old and new at the shop. Mike will still offer speed parts from heads to intakes as well as lift kits, lowering springs for trucks and as always will have used stuff for sale. Mike will continue to offer the best prices possible coupled with great customer service from a real car guy, a place where you can drop in to shoot the breeze and bench race, pick up ventshades for your new truck, a cam for your hot rod or supercharger for your new Camaro. The showroom will also have an area to include various furniture items as this has become a good business and has allowed Mike to still be able to do what he loves, which is be in the automotive performance business. Mike is going to plan an open house / grand opening. I will post when this is scheduled! Here are some pictures, though not all the artwork is complete yet. Very nice! I thought you were gonna keep the PV name, but either way I'm glad its up & running (I remember walking to the old Malden store for Holley parts in the 1990's)
I am a friend of Mike's and the shop...I worked there all through college and still handle some promotional stuff for him. I think it was easier with lease in new place, new business licensing with city etc, to operate under new name as Brian Peavey owned it for years with his brother Bob until his p***ed.
Very cool, grew up in Malden and used to drive my bike over there to look at all the car stuff and wait for the cool cars to show up in the parking lot, and later when I got my 70 mustang and Jeeps. Glad that are still making it in the Internet era, too many good shops just can't compete And are forced to close
