cord wrap a steering wheel

Does anyone, know how to, know someone that does,or have any definitive leads or instructions on how to cord wrap a steering wheel? I have a modified 61 Jag E-Type and my leather steering wheel is a little rough. I really want to cord wrap it and not put on one of those "shade tree" looking covers. Howard
