55 Chevy Bumper on 50 Chevy Questions

This is for a front 55 bumper on the front of my car.
I am ***uming I would need a 55 splash pan and then would modify to fit my car. My main question is..does it need to be shortened to fit? Anybody have an inside dimension measurement? thanks!!

 

I can't help ya with the splash pan, I didn't use one on mine.
