I want to a swap on my 47 ford panel truck. Everything I read is to use an s10 frame, why not use a full size pu truck for this swap? A full size would already have a v8 in it.

I have never understood the need for a frame swap? I've done quite a few original frame rebuilds over the years. With the availability of 100's of suspension up grades and available engines and transmissions why a frame swap? Nothing fits like the original.
