Does anyone recognize this air cleaner cover or the signal lights on this car? I'm trying to return the car to original (almost totally untouched already, but these are missing) The picture is from an old article about the car that was in the newspaper. It looks like they put an oversize air cleaner cover on the top and painted the middle turquoise to match. The lower part I have still on the car with a cheap chrome cover. Also, the signal lights are totally missing - the picture doesn't show much, but maybe somebody recognizes them... Thanks in advance.
I don't recognize the air cleaner but the turn signals look like seventies Japanese motorcycle, from what I can see of them. The headlights are early sixties Imperial.
Cool old rod, that almost looks like a band of steel, with 1 inch holes drilled in it...................nice project. i agree the signals look like 70's honda..........
The rod was built around '59, so the signals must not be original if they're 70s Honda (could have been added later for safety.) You nailed the headlights. The ring with the holes is still on the air cleaner, but the topper is the part that's missing - oversized so that it looked like a flying saucer I think.... Thanks for your input!
