What is the deal with all these nonsense posts?????? How about showing the car? Or maybe describe the car and what you want to do?

This one is almost as bad as the guy who asked for help identifying a firewall and then didn't post a picture or description... I don't get it.

What are you trying to achieve ?? Higher in the front ? Wheels ?? A 4 door Comet does not make the ordinary platform for a G***er type or even a FX type car. There are a few around that I have seen, but 2dr cars are the norm

  6. And what the hell is "mild g***er" exactly ?
Boneyard space savers and a floor jack ?

Not to be mean but I'm still shaking my head

Actually I'm going stockish height with road race style suspension under the car. I just found a cool looking space saver spare to use and took a photo. Thought the wheel may be of some interest to someone. FWIW My intent with the g***er comment was a joke.

It is harder than I thought it would be to find four plain steel wheels of appropriate size in the junkyard. So far I've found one that may work.

Wouldn't be my personal choice, but this car has been posted here before... all sarcasm and criticism aside.

At least you are starting with the 5 bolt hubs... original V-8 car, or did somebody convert it over? Given the choices in 14" tires these days, I'd be tempted to look for 15" wheels and use low profile tires.

Weird, did my photo disappear or is it just my computer being annoying?

Anyway... Like I said I'm setting the car up with a fast road suspension. It is a 6 cylinder car so it came with the light four lug stuff. I just finished swapping all the front end out for Mustang V-8 stuff and a disc kit from CSRP, the rearend got 5 lug axles as well... I have some grumbling to do about those but so be it. I -think- I got the 10" x 3" drums from a '95 Ranger mounted on the back today... I'm not 100% sure they'll work but I can't tell until the axles are installed and my buddy with the press wa busy today so the bearings didn't get installed.

As for the goofy wheel in the picture that may or may not be up there.... Its a space saver rim/tire out of a late model Lincoln. I need 15" wheels to clear the new front brakes. I was at the junkyard looking for plain jane cop/taxi style Crown Vic wheels and found a total of ONE but I happened across that rim and grabbed it because I thought it looked like it could be some odd ball old racing part. I figure I'll keep it and use it as a spare if it is close to the OD, or I can get a close tire mounted, to whatever I wind up running. Since I only scored two wheels that would even bolt on at the junkyard I went ahead and put them on the front of the car since that end is ****oned up and I wanted it off the jackstands and posted the picture for gits and shiggles. The front looks really high in the photo because the back has no wheels on it and the axle is sitting on a pair of tiny jack stands at their lowest setting.

New shoes, new stance. No longer a lowrider.
