   My 54 Pontiac has the torque tube. Lately I've noticed it bucks when I lift my gas foot instead of smoothly slowing down. Sometimes on pulling away in first it will oscillate violently enough where I have to put in the clutch to smooth it out. Could it be the u joint? Thanks

   Sounds like Universal joint,or broken motor or ****** mount ?
