I am taking my F1 up to my buddy's shop this weekend to wield the floor into place. I plan on posting pics of floor and plan on tackling a back roll pan and tail lights after I no longer need to look at the ground while driving:D. Thanks to everyone who answered and sent PM on my wheel and tire question. More to come.

Good luck. Do not fall prey to fads like slamming. Keep it 50s era and she'll never go out of style.

During the long, rough winter I got some things accomplished on the F1, Got my rims and tires, going to run black rims with possible mini moon, 215/70/15 on front, 255/70/15 on the back. I also cut the bad out of the front half of floor and wielded in new floor pan and got a transmission cover. My next challenge is to square up the back supports on bed and steel piece that runs along bottom of the tailgate so I can wield on a roll pan bumper and add my tail lights to it. When we matched it up, it had sort of a wave and bow to it, so we will straight out with new steel, The last big item will be to put the two inch drop on the front and bring what I must out of the back to keep the rack correct - not a slam, a rack look is what I want. Thanks for reading, things are happening.

Well one thing I have learned about working on old trucks and hot rod projects - there is no true concept of time. What I thought would take a few weeks, maybe two months has taken the vas part of the winter. But we are in good shape. Engine was solid to start, but went through the basic checks, as post above show, have a new floor and attached pictures show we have finally cut the recessed light kit into the roll pan. WIll finish up grinding and then wire up the tear drop tail lights. Very happy with where this is going

I heart ya on the. " it should be a few weeks and this will be done" issue...hell 6. years ago i thought I'd maybe take a ride in Lil Beast buy spring, if not short off being closer to paint...yeah that was 6 years ago...but the cleves house took up the time and monies of the better part of 2 3/4 years....then, last May i finally got to go round the block..so much for figuring time frames to completion....
On the up side, maybe we'll get lucky and get some cruise time in down there by the Creek this fall...I'm getting really close with Lil Beast...... CAM00267.jpg
