Anybody know of a floor mount hot rod style shifter for a th-350? My 48 chevy has very limited space becuase the transmission sits higher than the floor so the lokar style ones will be up way to high above the floor. I just want a simple floor mount cable operated style shifter but not with the race car look.

I was thinking Lokar made a floor mount shifter too. Call 'em and see.
I also see one on E-Bay from time to time,a new one that is. Good Luck. Normal Norman

There are a bunch of them. Check speedway, summit racing and anywhere else that sells parts.
I hadn't thought of J.C. Whittney, I may check them myself.
I'm trying to choose what I'm putting in my '54. I love the Lokar shifter. You can get them up to something like 23" tall but they aren't cheap.
I'm trying to get my car on the road soon so I'm trying to stretch the dollars when it comes to things like that.

Look at summit racing and look at the cable shifters. They might work better with your limited space.

The one in my truck is cable operated. You may fabricate one.

Lokar Is the way to go I have dealt with them alot over the years great customer service, and the kits are interchangeable through all kinds of transmissions with their adaptor kits I have one in my 57 Dodge that I customized with a pistol grip shifter knob. they have all kinds of clean looking shifters and they are built very well. I usually don't advertise stuff but I love their stuff that much. :D Every one thinks its a manual so they dont give me a bunch of **** for having an Auto until they only see two pedals [IMG]

Look at mid 70's Corvette automatics. Cable operated, tight tunnel mounted, nice shifter and lock out ****on.

80's Chevette shifter is small and easy to install. Dealer still has them.
