Steve Wilson is the track photographer at Mokan and is good at what he does. Here's a shot he got of me learning.

Cool shot, but I have one question. Why is it every time I see you in the digger with the wheels up, you front tires are turned?

When it launched it turned to the left slightly. The turned front wheels is me reacting to correct. When it came down of course it darted to the right a bit. Learning...

Raven, I think Kerry does that automatically when his muscles of his rear end draw up. I'd like to make a poster of this shot. I was in my truck right behind and only got a rear view. 1-2 seconds later it was all smoke. It was a fun day. Sam

Even with you pulling the wheels, your contact patch for the rear tires is less than the whole tire's width.

All of the pics, video and statements about this car show a textbook example of why locked differentials were not used in the short wheelbase dragster era. It's going to be a handful to drive. An open differential would make it a *****cat in comparison. Consult with as many others that actually ran the short wheelbase cars back in the day, not those that entered at the 200" point. I think you will find a firm consensus.

Good to hear you decided to keep the car, it's awesome!

Yeah, I noticed the car was heading just a bit to the left. Take 1/2 lb of air out of the right slick. Or....just tell me to mind my own business LOL. Anyhow, very nice hotrod! Allan F.

nailhead T modified, first, my man. i won't be able to get into the 8's, but should be respectable. 400 hp (i'm hoping) in a 1,800 pound (again, i'm hoping) should scoot right along.

    and then, who knows?
