I have newly acquired the attached magneto and wonder if anyone knows of any parts availability. Specifically a cap and rotor. Regards, Ron

It's a modified Wico 4-cyl magneto, used on many different engines back 75+ years, with internal parts and even NOS ***emblies still fairly easy to get. I see the Veco cast name clearly on the drive adapter but the aluminum distributor cap adapter (and probably the eight lobe cam) sure looks like Pounden stuff.

Drum brakes, if I understand correctly the magneto unit is a WICO, the drive unit is the VECO part and you feel that the cap adapter is perhaps Pounden. Cool, might you have any idea whose cap was used by Pounden for eight cylinder applications? Really appreciate your input, Ron

A lot of the caps on custom hot rod ignitions (Pounden, Roto-Faze, etc.) were from mid 50's Fords.

That VECO does look a lot like my POUNDEN magneto. Sorry I cant help on the cap/rotor since I don't have a cap for mine either!

Here's a great picture of George Pounden from the "Merchants of Speed" book. He is standing next to Tom Beatty & Barney Navarro directly in front of Tom's blown dry lakes racer working on his magneto. It doesn't get any cooler than that!
