Now it just needs to ride an inch off the ground with the crooked liscense plate and the bad airbrushed skulls all over...
Why build a '48 Willys? Why not. When I got into this stuff in the early '60s there was a local guy running a Willys station wagon gasser at the drags, not sure what year but the same body style as your truck. Had a big Olds V8 with a hydro, ran like hell and won its share. Wasn't what everybody expected when they heard Willys but got a lot of crowd approval. Guess that makes it kind of traditional too, huh?
I've thought about building one, but would have to take the dome out of the roof to make it look right . It'll be cool, go for it. The free spiritedness ( is that a word?), of hairy legged girls has always been appealing to me. I don't know about the hairy armpits though.
yea, why not indeed Tingler... Will-EE'z ( ) pickups rule... course i AM biased BTW, i think El Caballo is right, the wheel needs a large "army of the reich" helmet spike for a horn button, and a skull mounted on the column drop to house a tac to really have that Rat feel
EEWWW! Have you SMELLED a true Hippie Chick lately? Bleech!! Free spirit is great but I'll take mine with hygiene, thanks.
Great job Tinky! Makes me proud to be an 'adopted ' Teennesseean' When you get it done,I want to race you. Afterwards we can talk of hairy armed geeky girls in glassesmmmmmmmm Sparkiee
Ya know Joel, I thought you and I had something............but this TEARS it! You foul bastards can keep your hairy, smelly hippies........I'll gladly take the Willy's! Course I've had a MAD love affair with International Scouts for years, so it figures. xxx

I am trying to be well enough for the Halloween bash in ALA. Oct 31. And yeah, man we'll race alright You guys have fun. later... Sparkomatic
The truck is looking nice Tingler I had a 48 willys for a while I sold my pinto (351w) and bought it off my dad who traded a stock nice 48 chev sedan for it.......anyway, it's in Tenn. now and has changed hands at least a couple times... it may look different. here's a picture Oh yeah, I love hippy chicks too
