    Hi all,
I am trying to get an answer to this and have not been able to find it in all my researching.

I have a Chevy 250 inline six and need to know how far below the deck height does the piston sit when at TDC? This is with stock type pistons.

    Thanks!

They ran about .020-.025 on the ones we built up, we would run them close to zero, .039 to the head with a 194 head. (circle track flat top piston rule) NHRA spec was .011.

Yeah, I was thinking they were in the .0** range. Mine are .24x in the hole! Yes, almost a 1/4". I am thinking somone put a 230 crank in this rebuild and not a 250 crank. I was looking and it seems there is about a 1/4" difference in strokes between a 230 and 250.
