alright not much to show, finished going through ******, some teeth are chipped on one wheel although everything else looks great...
    cleared the firewall...

****** and engine together...WOW! I really messed up, I should have pulled them both together...I pulled the engine thinking I'd get away with mating the ****** still attached to the driveline...NOPE!! I could for the life of me line up the shaft into the bellhousing, so I ended up separating the ******...which was a bad Idea, finially I took the ****** off the driveshaft, which I thought couldn't be done from the front, I was wrong...so, I had to open up the ******, and line up the gears...went good as I got to inspect inside...only some teeth worn down...all in all, long job should have taken 10 mins...here's the complete
    [IMG]

finially got the engine and ****** back in, measured and leveled the engine...good day indeed...will build the mounts tomorrow...

Cool. I had a tan '50 as a parts car in the mid 60s. Lived in Redmond [next town North] and was attending high school there. Dad got sick of all the cars and parts-cars littering his driveway so he made me sell all my old fords to the local wrecking yard...the one on hwy 97. Car cost me a grand total of 15 bucks and gave up a lot of needed parts to get my 50 crestliner more complete.

There were lots of old yards here. Are you referring to Brads or Smithrock?

That rust is fairly typical of shoes. I've seen a lot worse that's for sure. Good move on the wiring kit. Make your life a lot easier. Cars looking good

okey got the car ground down to metal except for the hood...Found loads of rot...I'll start working on those tomorrow...I set the front clip on to see how things looked...first time since the coils were cut 1 1/2 coils. Ride height is were I wanted it...kind of that old school nose a little in the air...

1 1/2 coils cut and 3 inch blocks in rear + 4 leafs removed
