Hello people! I'm located in the People's Republik of Massachusetts and am working on a 58 Edsel Pacer 2 door hardtop. I come from the world of air cooled VWs to this strange front-engined-more-than-36hp world. Actually I had a 59 Belair 4 door sedan I loved very much but had to get rid of as it took up most of the driveway as well as a 54 Buick Super. There's the Edsel as I found it. It's a real beaut. Note the PO put new tires on, but they're like donuts, for a Jetta or something. It now has nice thin whitewalls. Nothing worked on it, the radio fell apart when I tried it, turn the key on and smoke came from under the hood, so I know I got a good one! Now it runs, no smoke, demonic TeleTouch shifter mechanism is rebuilt, replaced a bunch of hacked wires and so on. Not sure what to do with this car, really, but I like it very much. I found some old Cragar GT 14 x 6 rims, but only two, so looking for two more! I always wanted some bitchin old tank on Cragars, as they make everything better! I will shut up now and just say it's nice to be on this site!
Thanks for the great welcomes! Got a new master cylinder coming for the Pacer, so as I get it fixed up more I'll surely post it! And for my other VW people here's my other car: It's dropped 2.5 inches in the front so it can go here, sorta. It's a nice contrast with the Edsel, I think. Thank you all again for the nice welcome!
