Not sure where I saw it, but I used Vern's book for the starting measurement, perpendicular line down from top of frame, since bottom has a taper. Then measured a 45 d. angle from bottom going up towards the rear. Cut on 45, put rear on top lining up the perpendicular lines to maintain wheelbase. Sort of rough, but...

Is Vern tardel's roadster that's been mentioned several times in this thread.
Take a look at That for stance. If you like it there's a book that covers the whole build with lots of valuable info, pics, templates, drawings, dimensions, and pretty extensive ch***is section. You could put any model A body on that ch***is, and the wheels to body lines will remain the same.

    The motherload, THANKS!

Some amazing looking cars in there.

I have NOTHING against sticking a 32 frame under the body but the original frame gives it a slightly 'different from the crowd' look. Just a taste thing I guess...

This one is a coupe on A rails, just the sort of thing I am after.

I'd say 90% of the A's I see are using an A frame. I don't think staying stock is going to give you the different look.

I used a stock spring in my 31 Vicky with the main leaf and next bent up. Sits on a 51 Olds rear with original A spring perch's cut off the A rear and welded to the Olds rear. This is a full fendered car so the tire is pretty much in the center of the circle.

We must hang with different crowds. The majority I have seen sit on 32 rails. :)

Thanks for all the input and links guys. I will do some research this morning and see what I can come up with. I will also check out the Tardell car/book.

I will report back with the route I take...
