Trivia Question

Ok, does anyone remember the Baja Phantorm a 1935 Ford Sedan owned by Carl Weir. It was entered the Baja 500 and 1000 1967 thru 1973. I was just wondering if anyone knows what happened to it sense that time, and where it is now.

There was a picture of it in the back of Rod & Custom a few months ago, had some history of it too, I'll see if I can dig it up.

 

There was a feature/test article on it in R&C about 1969. No idea what happened since. A reasonable start would be to get hold of a V8 club roster and look for him in the western lists. Check the article (and license on car?) to find out where he was from...then, on to internet phone search...

 

Thanks for the replies, I have a copy of Petersons Complete Ford Book 3rd edition from 1973. I came across it the other day, and while looking through it I came across the article on the Phantom. I sure miss those days and how plentiful and inexpensive those old Fords were then.
